The excursion map is an appendix to the book The Landscape Tells the Story – How Mountains, Soil and Terrain Forms in Stockholm and the Surrounding Area Were Formed.
The book describes 24 excursion areas with associated maps. These are the maps that are available as selectable maps in the app. As a base map, you can choose one of Google Satellite, Google Hybrid, Open Street Map, Lantmäteriets Topowebb, Lantmäteriets Topowebb nedtonad, SGU Jordartskarta and SGU Berggrundskarta. The selectable maps are saved in the app; the base maps require an internet connection. You can adjust the transparency so that the base map is partially visible through the excursion maps.
The app indicates your position with a place marker. In each map, the places described in the book are marked with a symbol that makes it easy to find them. You can click on the symbol to get a small label with a brief description of the place.
You can add your own map pins and record tracks that you can share or send to your own email address.
