Tired of texting strangers a photo of your passport? Same.
IDfier lets you verify your ID once, then share a verified version of yourself with anyone who needs it, without handing over the document itself.
How it works:
1. Scan your passport, national ID, or driver's license. Tap your phone to the chip if it has NFC. Take a quick selfie so we know it's you.
2. Build the things you want to share. An age check. Just your name. Full ID. A driver's license. Whatever the situation calls for.
3. Send it. QR code in person, link or short code online. They see verified data, not a screenshot.
That's the whole thing.
What people use it for:
• Meeting someone from a marketplace or dating app and wanting to know they're real
• Proving they're over 18 without showing their personal number and birthday
• Renting a place, signing for a delivery, picking up a package
• Onboarding to platforms that ask for ID without uploading documents to who-knows-where
• Creators and freelancers who want a public profile that says "I'm a real person", not just another link-in-bio
Three trust levels:
Bronze covers the document scan and face liveness check. Silver is for BankID users in Sweden. Gold adds a face liveness check to Bronze. The more you verify, the more weight your shares carry.
Login with IDfier:
Some sites and apps let you sign in by scanning a QR code with IDfier. You see exactly which fields they're asking for and approve each one. No more uploading ID photos to random websites.
Pricing:
The first 10 exchanges are free. After that you top up with credits or subscribe for unlimited use. We don't sell your data, that would defeat the point.
A few things worth saying:
• Your documents stay on your device. We don't keep copies.
• The app locks behind Face ID or Touch ID.
• Sweden: BankID works as a shortcut for the initial verification.
• Everywhere else: we read documents from over 200 countries.
If something's broken or weird, the feedback button in your profile goes straight to us. We are all ears.
