Guard helps you stick to the limits you set for your smartphone use.

Block distracting apps, set time limits, and decide how difficult it should be to bypass your own rules.

Guard is built around one simple idea: you set the rules — Guard helps you keep them.

Instead of giving you a simple “open anyway” button, Guard can add deliberate friction before an app becomes available again. Depending on your settings, unlocking may require a PIN, pattern, math challenge or other friction steps.

Guard Free provides basic app protection and usage limits without requiring Accessibility access.

Guard uses Android Usage Access to detect which app is currently being used and apply the app rules you have configured.

## Guard Hard Protection

Hard Protection provides additional protection through Android Accessibility access.

It includes stronger self-defense mechanisms, website protection, Focus and Bedtime.

Website protection, Focus and Bedtime are available in Hard Protection.

Optional usage analytics can be enabled to help improve Guard. Analytics are limited to technical events and usage statistics and do not include the content of the apps or websites you use.

# Accessibility Service – Hard Protection

Guard Hard Protection uses the Android Accessibility API to provide additional protection that is not possible with Usage Access alone.

The Accessibility Service can:

• Detect the currently visible app and apply your configured protection rules
• Detect attempts to disable or uninstall Guard through Android system settings and trigger the protection mechanism you configured
• When website protection is enabled, briefly read the address bar text of supported browsers and compare it locally with your website rules, including websites or domains you have added yourself

Browser address bar text is processed locally in real time and discarded immediately after the check. It is not stored or transmitted by Guard.

Guard does not use Accessibility data for advertising or marketing.

Guard does not use the Accessibility API to read private messages, emails, passwords, photos or other private content.

You control which apps, websites and protection rules Guard applies.
