With this simple app you can override or replace default reminder with "unmissable" ones - they will ring like phone call how long you want, with melody you want! All you need is to install app - and that's all! No complex setup, no overcomplicated settings, just install app and that's it - app will automatically do all work.

Concerned about the 3.8 stars for this and other calendar alarm apps; but also, the other apps had whys and wherefores about having to turn off notifications in Google Calendar in order to work or actually being linked to Google Tasks (I don't use Tasks even though it looks synced with Calendar). As soon as it opened it prompted for access to Calendar and started working. Period. No extra setup, just set notifications in Calendar as normal and you get a persistent ringing alarm with *negative* snooze (e.g. Calendar will show "-4 minutes" for the reminder after snoozing 4 minutes past the start time) that's borderline *too* persistent. Will put it to the test with real appointments and might pay for the pro version, more out of appreciation than need for extra features.

Update: Alas, after using it for several years, it just started some behavior that's made me have to remove it. When the alarm starts, and I swipe to dismiss it, the alarm continues, and can not be stopped except by going to settings/apps, finding the app, and force-quitting it. Or rebooting the phone, which is quicker. Very bad in a meeting. I put in a support request on the web page (I have the paid version) about a week ago, but have heard nothing. I wonder if this app is still supported. Too bad, I really liked it until this started happening. If it ever gets fixed, I'll re-install and put the five stars back. Meanwhile, I'm looking for another app that does what this one used to. Original review, five stars: Android calender notifications are just one anemic little beep, and if you miss it, too bad. Seriously, what's up with that? This app fixes that glaring deficiency in the Android calendar. I used to use Nudnik for this, but that app hadn't been updated in years.

App works very well and the developer has helped me with a few questions I've had over a year of using this app. I find it critical to be able to have appointments / event reminders continue to fire until I dismiss so I don't miss calls and meetings. I auto-set a 1 minute reminder before each meeting, and I don't miss anything. This app fills a serious gap that should frankly be part of any calendar app. Highly recommend.
