About this app

Using Slideshow you can show pictures, photos and videos to your customers using almost any Android tablet or Android box connected to TV.

You can add new files:
- By connecting USB flash drive with files

Currently using on 2 prepaid smartphones as digital signage in an Uber. The settings are a tad confusing, but I've found all the info I need just by tinkering in the advanced settings. You are able to change time each image or video is shown as well as various transitions and the time each transition takes. I use the offline features only, but I can see this as very useful when devices are connected to a network.

Keeps asking for root access (understandable for some of its features) and does seem to work fine when denied. But when adding files from storage *within the app* there's no way to say "use these that I navigated to within the app right here" (i.e. no confirm button or even a way to select individual files). I just want a simple slideshow viewer like a digital photo frame that doesn't add music or make a video or require advertising ID for tracking and this looked like it would fit the bill.

We are sorry you are not satisfied with Slideshow app. Root access is required for some advanced features (https://slideshow.digital/documentation/root-on-android/), but Slideshow app will work just fine if you deny the access. There are multiple ways to add files to Slideshow app, usually the most convenient one is via the web interface.

Wonderful piece of software. This gave second life to my almost useless old tablet. Now it sits in my leaving room with all the glory instead of eating dust in closet. Interface may feel too complex for some until getting used to it. Lot of developer jargon in configuration menu might feel complex for some people. Big thumbs up to the developers.
