Works great. I started using it a couple years ago, and it was a little unreliable when put into background mode. Either through improvements in the app and/or Android, it's rock solid now (mid 2023). Setup can potentially be a pain, but my experience was straightforward and only took a few minutes of making sure the proper permissions were granted on the phone and watch.

Turns on my watch navigation when I'm in my car and runs down my watch battery. In response to the developer, as I mentioned, the settings on the ohone are not helpful. I use android auto and do not want my watch to take priority over it. I have it switched to off, but it doesn't turn it off. When I had auto start turned off I could not get maps/location to woek on the watch at all. Again.. making the app useless.

Hi Marilyn, in the Navigation pro settings on your phone, there are 2 options interesting for you: "Android Auto", switch this off if you prefer your car's navigation over the watch. Or switch off "Autostart watch app" to only use the app on demand.

The app works but has a few flaws that make it unreliable. The watch vibration signaling an upcoming turn happens way to late to be useful. If you navigate to any other application or home screen on your watch the app will no longer alert you at all. When I finish with a different app, it should revert back to GPS automatically if the GPS is still in use on my phone. It should also have the option to turn the screen off in between notifications. There's no reason for my screen to be on my entire trip. It kills the battery way to fast. Please allow me to turn my screen off, not just dim it. Not worth the 2 dollars.

Hi Justin, when you put the app in the background on your watch you probably don't want to use it. That's why it does not vibrate then or pop up by itself. It is a good idea to let the screen turn off between turns. However, the app would be closed then by the watch. You can open the app on your phone, go to settings and tick "Dim watch display".
