Openspace.Social is a decentralized social network built on the Fediverse. Connect, share, and follow across thousands of communities comfotably with no ads, no tracking, no algorithm working against you.

WHY OPENSPACE

Most social apps decide what you see, sell what they learn about you, and lock you inside their walls. Openspace does the opposite. As a Fediverse-native platform, your account can connect with people on Mastodon and other ActivityPub-compatible networks. Your data stays yours.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Ratings and reviews

It's in development, and there are things to do, but it combines some of the best elements of Twitter, blogs, and Flickr. The community is small but engaging, in part because it skews older, so growth will be interesting. I hate the ad intrusion on the app, but most folks are probably used to them. Maybe there will be a no-ad option in the future. Long posts need some formatting bugs worked through, but I am hopeful.

I have been very pleased with both the app and Openspace itself so far. It's the only social app I now use! The app is simple to use, yet you also have the control you need to make sure you aren't distracted by too many notifications if you don't want them.

I wish the platform had groups similar to Facebook where you can set up questions to be answered before approval. nothing out there has groups like FB you could really rule the market for those wanting to leave meta.
