About this app

PayDodge turns your net salary into an hourly rate and shows, second by second, what you are paid while you take a break.

HOW IT WORKS
• Enter your net salary, monthly or yearly, and pick the currency it is shown in.
• Set your paid hours a week: 40 unless you change it, plus any extra hours you regularly work.
• PayDodge works out your net hourly and per-minute rate and shows every step: × 12 months, ÷ 52 weeks, ÷ your weekly hours.
• Tap Start break when you stop working. The amount grows live. Tap Stop break and the length and amount stay on screen until your next break.

THE ASSUMPTION, SHOWN
A month is counted as 52 ÷ 12 = 4.33 weeks, not 4. That is why a monthly salary gives a slightly lower hourly rate than a quick "four weeks" sum. The app says so next to the number.

LABELS AND STATISTICS
• Tag each break: coffee, toilet, lunch, or labels you create yourself.
• Statistics show what each label was paid today, this week, this month and in total, with time and share.
• History lists every break; change its label, start or length, delete it, or add one you forgot to time.
• Started the timer late or forgot to stop it? Move the start back or set the real length.

WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
• A notification shows the running break with a Stop button.
• A home-screen widget and a Quick Settings tile start and stop breaks.
• Optional monthly milestones tell you when your breaks reach another full hour of paid time.

KEEPS COUNTING WHEN YOU CLOSE IT
Starting a break saves the moment it started. Close the app, swipe it away or let the phone kill it: the count is worked out again from that moment when you come back. It needs no background service and no battery exemption. If the phone restarts during a break, the time it was off is included.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It does not calculate tax, gross salary, bonuses or paid leave. Overtime is priced only at the rate you set. The net salary you enter is used as it is.
• It does not know when you actually work. The timer runs only between your Start and Stop.
• It does not convert currencies. The currency only sets how amounts are written, and totals in different currencies are kept apart.
• It does not pay you anything. It shows what your existing salary already covers.

PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
PayDodge has no internet permission, so your salary and breaks cannot leave the phone. It asks for notifications (the break notification and optional milestones) and uses your fingerprint, face or screen lock only if you turn on the app lock. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking. Hide amounts replaces money with dots when others can see your screen. Backups are a file you export yourself; data is excluded from phone backups, and About → Delete all data removes it.

What’s new

Label breaks (coffee, toilet, lunch or your own) and see in Statistics what each label was paid by day, week, month and in total. Break history you can edit, a notification with Stop, widget, Quick Settings tile, overtime rate, monthly milestones, share image, hide amounts, app lock and a backup file you export yourself.
