TripSlate is a travel wallet and trip organizer: flights, trains, stays and events on one offline itinerary, read and kept on your phone, usable in flight mode.
HOW YOU ADD A BOOKING
• Share a boarding pass PDF, Wallet pass (.pkpass), booking PDF, calendar invite (.ics), saved e-mail (.eml) or screenshot to TripSlate.
• Or paste the confirmation text, or enter it by hand.
Every import ends on a review screen: see what was read, correct it, then add it. Unrecognised files are kept to fill in.
WHAT IT READS
• Boarding pass barcodes (IATA BCBP), including several legs in one code.
• Wallet passes (.pkpass files on Android): fields, barcode and relevant date.
• Booking e-mails with schema.org markup, and their PDF or pass attachments.
• Rail tickets with a UIC 918.3 barcode, and booking e-mails from several airlines, rail operators and stay sites.
• Plain text with airport codes, flight numbers, dates and times in nine languages.
• Photos and scanned PDFs, through text recognition that runs on the phone (English text).
• A paper pass held up to the camera.
Anything worked out rather than read is marked "Verify".
ON THE TIMELINE
• Every time in the local time of the place it happens, with its time zone. An overnight arrival shows +1.
• Trips grouped by date, day by day, with "Tonight:" for where you are staying.
• An optional second line with your home clock.
AT THE GATE
• One tap to the pass. The barcode is redrawn on white at full brightness; your brightness returns when you leave the screen.
• One card per traveller, with the name in large type.
• Home-screen widget and Quick Settings tile for the next pass.
• A Wear OS watch app that shows your passes, synced from the phone only if you turn it on.
• An optional countdown notification before departure; on Android 16 it can show as a Live Update.
ALSO
• Travel documents area for passport copies, visas and insurance.
• Notes, a checklist and spending per trip. Totals stay per currency; nothing is converted.
• Plug types, mains voltage and driving side for the countries on a trip.
• A map and numbers of where you have flown, built on the phone. Import past flights from a CSV file.
• App lock with fingerprint, face or screen lock. The database on the phone is encrypted.
• Optional: spot booking details in notifications from travel apps you allow, for your review.
• Reminders you turn on: time to leave, check-in opens, hotel check-in and check-out. Values are shown and adjustable; exact-time delivery is optional.
• Flight-status search opens in your browser; TripSlate itself does not go online.
• Search by place, booking code, flight number, name or file.
• One backup file, optionally password-protected, restores everything on a new phone.
• Share a trip as a PDF summary or calendar file, without booking codes or barcodes.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• No live flight status, gate changes or delay alerts. Those need a server, and TripSlate has none.
• It does not read your mailbox. You share or paste bookings.
• It is not an official boarding pass. It shows the barcode from yours; acceptance is up to the airline.
• It does not create wallet passes. A .pkpass you imported can be handed to a wallet app you have installed.
• Reminders can arrive a few minutes late; some phones delay them more (Help explains the battery settings).
PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
• Notifications: only for reminders you turn on, asked at that moment.
• Run at startup: to set those reminders again after a restart.
• Alarms and reminders: only if you turn on exact-time reminders.
• Camera: only while you scan a pass.
• Fingerprint or face: only if you turn on app lock.
• Notification access: only if you turn on detection; other apps' notifications are skipped unread.
Only the ad banner goes online. No account, no own analytics, no crash reports. Trips leave the phone only in a backup or export you share.
Nine app languages: English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português (Brasil), Русский, العربية, 日本語.
