About this game

Blackjack Strategy Trainer is a practice table, not a casino. No money is wagered and nothing is sold inside it. It teaches two things properly: basic strategy until it is automatic, and card counting until you can keep the count, read the shoe and change the play without being prompted.

CARD COUNTING, TRAINED END TO END

Start with Hi-Lo tags, drill the running count, then race the clock. From there, play a real shoe all the way to the cut card. Every card dealt is gone from the shoe, so the count means exactly what it means at a casino.

The felt shows the shoe the way a real table does. Deck blocks run down one edge for the cards still to come and down the other for the discard tray, so you learn to judge the decks remaining by eye, which is the skill the true count depends on. Tap the eye to hide the running and true count, keep the count yourself, and tap again to check your work.

INDEX PLAYS DEALT AS REAL HANDS

Keeping the count is half the job. The other half is the play it changes, and most trainers stop before it. Here there are 180 Hi-Lo index plays for blackjack, from the Illustrious 18 and the Fab 4 to the deep cuts, dealt as live hands with the true count pinned to the felt. Learn unlocks them in order of importance. Memorize drills the Illustrious 18, the Fab 4 and insurance as flash cards. Daily deals a fresh spot every day.

Insurance is graded from both sides: below the index taking it is the mistake, at or above it declining is.

In a graded shoe, making the play the count called scores three times a routine correct play, and the top rank stays out of reach unless you spotted and took at least two. Every shoe ends in a report: the index plays you made, the ones you let go, and every slip, each with the count it happened at.

EVERY DECISION PRICED, NOT JUST MARKED

Right or wrong is not enough. Every option on every hand is valued by an expected-value engine that works it out from your table's rules. Miss a play and you see the book play, the one you chose, and the gap between them in dollars per hundred wagered, including the spots where the aggressive play out-earns the safe one.

A STRATEGY CARD THAT MATCHES YOUR TABLE

One to eight decks, how deep the cut card sits, soft 17, double after split, resplitting and hitting split aces, late or early surrender. Change a rule and the strategy card and the grading both follow. The card opens over any screen mid-hand and rings the exact cell you are being asked about.

SPANISH 21 WITH ITS OWN COUNT

A complete second game with its own engine: 48-card decks, the bonus payouts, double-down rescue and redoubling, its own strategy card and its own counting table. 150 Spanish 21 index plays, the Matador 20 among them, with insurance moved out to +11 because those decks are four tens short.
