Light a candle for gratitude, reflection or remembering someone. “A Small Flame” is a virtual candle app with a moving flame, melting wax and optional personal notes.
A realistic candle that changes as it burns
Watch candle light fall on the holder and surroundings as the wax melts and the candle burns down. This 3D candle simulator lets you choose the color, flame size and burn time before lighting. Switch to full screen to watch in silence.
Your time and your words
Choose a suggested duration or set your own. Before lighting, add a note for a person, occasion, hope or prayer. Tap Blow out to pause your digital candle, then relight it with its remaining burn time.
Prayer, meditation and remembrance
- Light a prayer candle and add your own words.
- Use a meditation candle as a silent visual focus at your own pace.
- Light a memorial candle for someone you miss or to mark an anniversary.
A shrine for your memories
Your shrine keeps the colored wax, candle history and notes. Return to a remembrance candle’s note whenever you wish. Share an image of your candle or shrine. You choose whether to include a candle’s note in its shared image; shrine images never include notes.

Notes and backups
No app account is needed. The app has no sound, ads or subscriptions. Your candles and notes are stored on your device, with no automatic cloud sync.
Before changing devices or uninstalling, save a backup. You can import your ZIP backup into “A Small Flame” on Android or iOS. Importing replaces the destination device’s app data after confirmation. Backups are not encrypted and do not include purchase access.
