WIZ / SafeWiz
Platform for managing crisis situations and people's safety
WIZ and SafeWiz represent a digital system for managing crisis situations, evacuation and people's safety - from preventive preparation and training, to actions at the time of an incident, to coordination of all participants and support to emergency services.
Unlike classic security systems that are mainly based on predefined procedures, static plans and one-way warning, WIZ/SafeWiz introduces the possibility of dynamic situation management according to the actual development of the incident.

1. WIZ – mobile platform for incident management
WIZ is a mobile platform that connects people, information and procedures in a crisis situation.
Under normal circumstances, WIZ enables preventive training of various crisis scenarios, so that users can learn the appropriate procedures in advance and react more quickly and safely in a real incident.
When an incident occurs, WIZ enables the activation of an appropriate scenario and the coordination of all relevant participants – from the people involved in the incident, through the responsible persons and evacuation teams, to the emergency services.
The platform can support various types of crisis situations, for example:
• fire;
• earthquake and other natural disasters;
• bomb threat;
• appearance of a dangerous person or intruder;
• medical emergency;
• large fires, storms and other events affecting a wider area.
The key value of WIZ is that the action does not have to be reduced to a single predefined message or a single pre-drawn plan, but rather communication and instructions can be adapted to the type, location and development of the incident.

2. SafeWiz – when the digital platform becomes part of the facility
SafeWiz extends the functionality of WIZ by connecting the digital platform with the physical facility.
Today, safety signage in most facilities is static.
Exits are marked with pre-defined green markers, and evacuation plans on the walls show pre-determined evacuation routes.
The problem is that the actual incident does not have to follow the pre-drawn plan.
If, for example, a fire develops right on the route intended for evacuation, that route may no longer be safe at that moment.
For larger and more complex facilities, SafeWiz expands the WIZ by connecting to the facility's digital and dynamic signaling.
In this way, information about the current incident can be connected with the way people are directed through the facility, that is, it can be made possible to adapt the evacuation route and instructions to the actual development of the situation.
Thus, the facility is no longer just a space where a pre-made evacuation plan is implemented.
The facility becomes an active part of the crisis management system.

3. From an individual facility to major crisis events
Application of the WIZ/SafeWiz concept does not have to be limited to one building.
In the case of large fires, storms, floods, earthquakes and other events affecting larger areas, additional stakeholders can be included in the system:
citizens and visitors → WIZ users → operational centers → firefighters → police → emergency medical services → civil protection → local and regional services.
In such a scenario, WIZ can represent a digital communication and coordination layer between endangered people and operational services, assuming that users have an active application and the sharing of relevant data, including location, is enabled.
This opens up the possibility of moving from the classic model:
"Send a warning to everyone in the endangered area"
to the model:
"Inform specific users, direct them to the appropriate procedure and provide the operational center with a better insight into the situation on the ground."
For crisis management that connects people, processes and services.
