SmartCore™ is the new digital SPT core orienter, designed to provide accurate and efficient core orientation during drilling operations. This instrument is fitted directly onto the inner tube head assembly. Its direct integration eliminates the need for additional extension systems and reduces the number of components that need to be handled during the operation.

Upon reaching the surface, SmartCore™ automatically detects that it has been retrieved from the well and establishes a connection with the handheld device for data download. Thanks to this process, there is no need to magnetically activate the instrument after each retrieval, which streamlines the orientation and marking of the core. This technology enables directional and geological data to be captured seamlessly without halting operations. All the information obtained is automated and can be synchronised with the SmartCloud™ platform, where it is linked to the corresponding borehole for consultation, monitoring and quality control.
