About this app

Glide is a private, 100% electric ride service in Paramaribo, Suriname. Your fare is fixed and shown before you book, your driver is a salaried professional, and you pay by card in the car.

WHAT GLIDE IS
A calm, private way to get around Paramaribo. Sign in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code, enter where you want to go, and a Glide driver picks you up in an electric car.

FIXED FARES, KNOWN BEFORE YOU BOOK
Every fare is a $1.50 hailing fee plus $1.65 per kilometer, with a $5.00 minimum. The full amount is calculated on your route and shown before you confirm. The fare you book is the fare you pay.

100% ELECTRIC FLEET
Every Glide car is a fully electric GAC Aion UT: quiet, air-conditioned and comfortable for up to four passengers.

SALARIED, PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS
Glide drivers are employed by Glide, not gig workers. They are vetted, trained and work fixed shifts. Before pickup you see your driver's name, car and plate.

PAY BY CARD IN THE CAR
At the end of your ride, pay with your card on the terminal in the car. Your driver confirms the payment and an itemized receipt appears in the app. Glide does not collect or store your card details.

LIVE TRACKING AND ETA
- Follow your driver on the map in real time
- See an up-to-date arrival time
- Get a notification when your driver is on the way and when they arrive

RATE YOUR RIDE
Rate each trip and leave feedback for our operations team. Your ride history keeps every receipt, with one-tap rebooking.

SERVICE AREA: PARAMARIBO ONLY
Glide operates only in Paramaribo, Suriname, within the service area shown in the app, subject to driver availability.
