About this app

Considering that state places of culture are called upon to respond to the new needs of visitors who in recent years have required more inclusive and engaging ways of using the museum, the Promotion and Communication Office of the Istituto Autonomo Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este, pursuing the guidelines expressed in this regard by the Directorate General of Museums, formulated the project "Passepartout - cultural accessibility: creation of new multisensory paths".
This project provides for the expansion of the cultural offer and makes use, among other things, of the aid of digital technologies, with contents specifically designed to facilitate the usability and understanding of places through a type of communication that is as inclusive as possible.

This App is a digital product of the project. All the accessible paths of the Institute converge in it. The App will be periodically updated and implemented.

At the moment the accessible routes are:

1. VILLAE Sign
A general itinerary through the Villae through video guides in Italian Sign Language and International Sign Language.

2. VILLAE Touch
A sensory journey that invites you to discover the forms and contents of the Villae sites through the tactile panels displayed along the visitor itineraries.

3. VILLAE Easy
A journey to discover the Villae through a Guide in a language that is easy to read and understand for everyone.

4. VILLAE Game
A video game App to discover the beauties and curiosities of the Villae through play, with particular attention to the youngest and usability by people with SLD

The project is carried out in collaboration with:

ENS – National Institute for the Deaf
UICI – Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired
ANFASS – National Association of Families of people with intellectual and/or relational disabilities
