The creation of the Luz y Progreso Spiritist Center radio arose from the desire of its medium, Sister Margarita Martel Guerra, to disseminate not only the activities of our organization, but also the spiritist doctrine. Furthermore, it becomes a space for self-knowledge, relaxation and consolidation of absolute faith for the different auditors, among whom we can find, for the most part, patients who attend the Center's facilities.
The “Luz y Progreso” Spiritist Center was founded on April 12, 1985. It is a non-profit social-community institution whose objective is to be a shelter, which provides medical-spiritual care to all people who need help. physical, mental and spiritual help to counteract their different illnesses and ailments, through healing and prayer sessions, complementary therapies and various sports-recreational activities that act as a complement to earthly medical treatment.
Their sessions are held every week: Wednesday and Saturday - And the care provided to each patient is completely “free.” Anyone who arrives at its facilities to request assistance for their medical pathology is assisted without distinction of: race, sex, religion, politics, socioeconomic condition, sexual orientation, etc.
This reception and Spiritual center is made up of more than 200 stable patients, including: professionals, housewives, students, homeless people, alcoholics, drug addicts, catastrophic patients and those with various medical pathologies, among others. The vast majority are of very limited resources and come from various neighborhood, popular and vulnerable sectors of Antofagasta and the entire region; Their ages fluctuate between 1 and 90 years, between: children, young people, adults and older adults, the latter being the ones who have the greatest participation in this healing center.
