STUD FINDER & WALL SCANNER
Use your phone’s magnetic sensor (magnetometer) to scan for changes in the magnetic field. The live microtesla reading, visual indicator and sound feedback can help you locate ferromagnetic metal such as nails, screws, steel framing and rebar. These clues may help identify the position of wall studs behind drywall before you drill, hang a picture, install a shelf or mount a TV.

METAL DETECTOR
Turn your phone into a convenient metal finder for nearby iron and steel objects. Move the device slowly across a wall or surface and watch for stronger readings. Results depend on your phone’s sensor, the distance to the object, wall thickness and surrounding interference.
