About this app

GENERAL INFO

Interactive collection of sheet music with notes and tablatures for 12-, 10- and 6-hole ocarina vessel flutes. This app will help you to learn playing popular traditional melodies, and some other tunes from the public domain.

App features:
- 130+ melodies to learn;
- Interactive training modes;
- Selection between 12-, 10- and 6-hole ocarina, and various instrument tunings;
- It can play every melody displaying the progress in the music sheet;
- Optional countdown before melody playback;
- Tune-able playback speed;
- Allows custom transposition of melodies;
- Allows to bookmark favorite melodies.

ADVERTISEMENTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

By default the app is supported by advertisements, and only a handful of melodies is accessible for free. Paid app subscriptions available in the in-app store unlock all melodies, and remove all advertisements. The profit from subscriptions will also allow for future app development, including new bug-fixes, new features, and new melodies.

For an individual with no musical experience that doesn't know how to read sheet music this app is fantastic. It combines tabs, audible music, and sheet music in a way that has been been extremely helpful and useful. Could use a larger library, but currently has more than enough music to provide months of learning and instruction.

It's almost good. It could be great. The light up tracking doesn't follow along properly with the sound, even at one quarter speed. If you could get it to sink up properly, it would be very useful. Also, songs don't always open when you select them, it just scrolls back up to top of list. And when you try to go to settings when you have a song up, it sometimes goes back to lists instead of settings. Settings button also disappeared after first use for a bit.

Thanks for your feedback. I am aware about bugs, and keep working on solving them. Unfortunately, can't dedicate too much time to this, as despite paid subscriptions in the app it does not result in any significant revenue, thus it is still a hobby project for me.

Edit in response to dev: Not being able to see how well the tabs are without paying doesn't foster a better review. It might be good for someone with no musical experience who's learning to play, BUT I couldn't tell to be able to make such a recommendation... (New) you said adding songs from long dead artists keeps from charging more? That is false. All music becomes public domain after 20 years. And the law provisions for covers/parody to be done anytime regardless. Nice try, but no.

Authors of old songs are long dead and don't ask money, the subscription covers development effort to develop and maintain the app. So far the revenue pays for 1-2 hours of software engineer time a month, not enough to pay a pro musician or royalty fees for modern music - with the current userbase size I'd need to charge 100x times more to do it.
