About this app

Norrsaga is an audiobook and podcast player for Audiobookshelf, built for
the screen in your car.

You need your own server. Norrsaga connects to a self-hosted Audiobookshelf
server (v2.36 or newer recommended). It is not a streaming service and ships
with no books of its own.

In the car
• Pick up where you left off: playback resumes from the position saved on
your server, and your progress is written back every 15 seconds — so your
place survives car restarts and switching devices
• Home screen with Continue Listening, Continue Reading and Recently Added
• Up Next queue: line up books, chapters and episodes to play in order. The
queue is stored on your server and follows you between devices
• Browse your library: audiobooks, ebooks and podcasts, A–Z
• Podcasts: open a show, pick an episode
• Built for long-form listening: the skip buttons jump 45 seconds forward
and 15 seconds back — no shuffle, no mixes
• Playback speed from 0.75× to 3×, remembered across books
• Cover art and chapter titles on the now-playing screen

Ebooks
• Ebooks with no audio can be read aloud with text-to-speech from your own
narrator server (optional; set the address in Settings). Reading position is
saved back to Audiobookshelf

Signing in
• Sign in with your server address, username and password. The password is
never stored — only a token, encrypted on the device
• HTTPS required
