About this app

Paint Lab is a color mixing and paint inventory app built for scale modelers.
Simulate mixes using 2 to 4 model paints, find paint combinations and mixing ratios for a target color, and keep track of the paints you already own—all in one app.
Wondering which paints to mix to recreate a color? Tired of buying a paint you already have? Paint Lab is designed to make paint selection, mixing, and inventory management easier.
The app is free to try. Premium is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
■ COLOR MIXING SIMULATOR
Select 2 to 4 paints, set their mixing ratios, and preview the resulting color. Use preset ratios or adjust them manually in 1% increments.
Paint Lab can also show commercially available paints close to the simulated result, helping you decide whether to mix the color yourself or use a similar ready-made paint.
■ PAINT ANALYSIS / RECIPE SEARCH
Choose a target color and search for paint combinations and mixing ratios that approximate it. Paint Lab presents up to five candidate recipes.
You can select a target from the paint database, enter a HEX/RGB color, or sample a color from an image.
Narrow searches by paint type or search only paints in your own collection.
■ SAMPLE COLORS FROM IMAGES
Pick colors from photos taken with your camera or images in your gallery. Use reference photos, real objects, painted parts, or other images as the target for your paint search.
■ MY PAINTS / INVENTORY
Register and manage the paints you own, including quantities. Barcode scanning is supported for compatible products, making it faster to add paints to your collection.
Sort and search your collection by manufacturer, color family, category, and other criteria.
■ SHOPPING LIST
Add paints you need to a shopping list. Missing paints can also be added directly from mixing results.
■ SAVE CUSTOM COLOR RECIPES
Save mixing and analysis results as custom colors together with their ratios, so you can recreate the same color later.
■ COLLECTION STATISTICS
View breakdowns of your paint collection by manufacturer, category, and color family.
■ 2,233-PAINT DATABASE
Includes 2,233 model-paint products from brands and ranges including Vallejo, GSI Creos, Tamiya, Gaia Notes, and more.
