What is in this app and what can you do with it?
1. Perform a virtual prayer
You can do electronic offerings of flower, light candle, water, incense, etc. in more than 13 Buddhist traditions – Theravada, Mahayana & Vajrayana.
First, select the Buddha image you like to place on the altar. Then tap on the items displayed on the altar such as vase for flower, candle holder to light candle, fruit bowl for fruit - a pop-up list will appear and you can make selection. This allows you to customise your prayer experience, to a certain degree.
2. Listen to chanting
Tap on the playlist icon (3-lines in a circle) on the right-side middle of the page. A list of chants will appear, select the chant you would like to listen to. Position yourself in a comfortable & relax posture and respectfully listen or chant along.
We have a total of 439 chants (list still growing) from 13 Buddhist traditions (Mahayana – Chinese, Vietnamese, Vajrayana Tibetan and Theravada – Sri Lanka, Bharat, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Bangladesh, Chakma, Burmese, and in English)
3. Listen to Devotional Songs/Hymns
Tap on the “Devotional Songs” button on the bottom of the Home page
Here you can choose from a list of more than 15 languages/countries. Listening to the songs/hymns can be spiritually uplifting as well as educational. You may try listening to it while driving – it can be relaxing. Currently we have 344 songs & hymns (still adding)

ABOUT US.
Welcome to the Buddhist Prayer e-Prayer app - the first of its kind where user can perform a virtual prayer/puja and listen to chanting & devotional song/hymn from almost all Buddhist traditions, all-in-one mobile app!
This app offers a creative adaptation of a simple prayer/puja process for user to perform in the comfort of his/her home or anywhere – anytime. It is particularly useful in places/countries where access to a temple is limited or non-existence.
This app can provide you with all the essentials you need to do your daily or ad hoc chanting. Users may find that some of the materials are not specific to their practise, irrelevant or the chanting method vary - due to differences in sect/lineage or tradition. As such, we urge the user to use their discretion.
We are non-sectarian so we are cool with every Buddhist tradition, because we believe in this idea of “Many Paths - One Dharma”.
This app is still a Work-in-Progress – we constantly update its content & make changes to the coding for improvement purposes. We welcome any contribution of materials and/or ideas/suggestion.
Using this app for prayer or listening to devotional songs is like an offering to the Triple Gem so, by the merit of this may you be filled with peace, happiness and be guided in the path of awakening!
We hope that you will find this app useful and benefited from it. If you do, please help us to spread the word around so that more people get to know and use this app.
May YOU be Well and Happy always!
And may the Dhamma spread far and wide, benefitting all beings!
