TV Split puts two apps on your TV screen at once. Watch a match next to the live scores, a stream next to its chat, or a show while you browse, and move the remote between them with one button.
Android TV and Google TV have no split screen of their own. TV Split uses Android's built-in app windows, so each app runs normally in its own window.
SPLIT SCREEN (FREE) • Two apps side by side or one above the other, 50:50 • A window menu: give the remote to either app, swap sides, go full screen and back, choose whose sound you hear, close one app or end the split • Recent pairs start your usual combination in one click
TV SPLIT PRO (ONE-TIME PURCHASE) • Other ratios (60:40, 70:30 and more) and a divider you move in 5% steps • Floating window: a small window over your main app, in any corner, in four sizes • Menu key: hold a remote button to open the window menu from any app One payment, no subscription, no ads.
ONE-TIME SETUP TV Split needs your TV's developer options and its debugging connection. The app walks you through it:
Turn on Developer options: Settings → System → About, then click the build number 7 times
Turn on Network debugging (called ADB debugging on some TVs)
Allow TV Split when the TV asks
Turn on app windows in TV Split and restart the TV once Setup has buttons that undo everything TV Split changed.
GOOD TO KNOW • Needs Android TV or Google TV with Android 11 or later, and network debugging in developer options. Some streaming sticks only offer "Wireless debugging" with a pairing code, which TV Split doesn't support yet. • Each app decides how it behaves in a window. Most work well; some restart when resized, and a few refuse to run in a window. • Copy-protected video (most subscription movie services) uses special TV hardware. On many TVs it can't play at the same time as video in another app, and the video started last wins. A web browser next to it always works. With other video apps, start their video first: apps that restart their own video then keep playing. • The Setup screen shows what your TV supports.
PRIVACY No ads, no accounts, no analytics, and nothing is collected. TV Split's only connection is to your TV's own debugging service at 127.0.0.1, which never leaves the TV.
