Track your carbon footprint accurately

Connect your credit and debit cards securely to see where your carbon footprint comes from. Think of it like creating your climate budget.

Go Net Zero today, not in 2050

Having some carbon footprint is unavoidable until we shift demand away from fossil fuels. Compensate by supporting a portfolio of promising climate solutions that reduce and remove carbon around the world. Accelerate the shift to a zero-carbon world.

Live lighter with lower emissions

Get guides and recommendations for specific, impactful ways to lower your footprint - whether that’s joining a sustainability challenge to eat more plant-based meals, saving on your utilities by lowering your thermostat, or using smart plugs, offsetting flights. As you build your climate practice and reduce your footprint, get rewarded with a lower offset fee.

Joro’s collective impact

Join a community of eco-friendly people shifting systems through our collective dollars and daily action. In 2021, we’ve reduced our emissions by an average of 21% and $3,300 in annual savings.

How can I offset my carbon footprint?
When you connect your credit cards, Joro automatically shows you the impact behind each purchase. Then, offset everything you buy on autopilot with a selection of high-impact carbon removal projects.

We meticulously curated the Carbon Portfolio to give people access to the same high-quality carbon offsets that companies and governments at the forefront of net-zero commitments use to scrub their emissions from the atmosphere.

Maximize your impact per dollar by investing in a selection of offset projects that are aligned with the Oxford Principles for Offsetting to get our world to net zero emissions by 2050.

Traditional, flat-fee offset subscriptions can cause more harm than good if you see them as a license to pollute. That’s why the Net Zero Membership rewards you for living lighter. Unlock tailored insights and tips to help you emit less, and compete against yourself to lower your footprint and your offset fee.

What is a climate action practice?
On a personal level, it’s the daily exercise of bringing awareness, accountability, and action to reduce the carbon emissions within your control. Collectively, it means joining a community of doers to address climate change.

Do my actions matter?
Together, our choices influence our shared trajectory. Follow friends to see how your progress stacks up on the leaderboard - and see your impact multiply with others.

How does Joro guide me?
Everyone’s lifestyle and carbon footprint are different. We meet you where you’re at and help you develop a carbon intuition with actionable insights and recommendations based on your personal carbon footprint.

Joro helps you manage your overall carbon footprint, the perfect complement to other sustainability apps and products such as Recycle Coach, Freecycle Trash Nothing, Grove Collaborative, The RealReal, Thredup, Ecosia, EWG's Healthy Living, Ecosia, Aspiration Bank, Thrive Market, Brightly Eco, Good Eggs, and more.

Really terrible onboarding experience on Android. Signed up, told me twice my email addresses were wrong, then allowed me in for no reason. The onboarding is so revenue-driven it's a PITA. At least let people TRY SOMETHING before the credit card is demanded.

We are so sorry you had this experience! We want to take a closer look at this for you - we haven't seen the email signup issue before. Also, the app is free to use. You are prompted to connect a card to unlock the free service the app provides, to track the emissions of everything you buy. We apologize this is not clear and will work on changes.

My initial impression of this app is that it'll be useful in giving me a *very rough* idea on what my carbon footprint is. Unfortunately, it's very US centric, and being from the UK, this causes issues in entering some banking details and with currency when entering purchases manually. Still, I'm going to stick with it in the hope that a more inclusive update is just around the corner. Also, would appreciate more information about the science behind how you're calculating everything!

Hi Rachel, thanks for your review! We released an update a few weeks ago, and are working next on updates that make it more usable for people outside the US. We also just published information on the science behind our methodology:
