About this app

A clear, simple speedometer that measures your speed with your phone's GPS. No ads, nothing pops up while you drive, and the speed refreshes twice a second. Use it in the car, on a bike, on a boat or on foot.

SPEED AT A GLANCE
• A large dial or a big digital display, in km/h, mph or knots
• Choose the dial range that suits you, from 0–40 to 0–240
• GPS accuracy, satellites in use and your heading (N, NE, E…)
• Keeps the screen on while the speedometer is showing
• Match your car: if your car's speedometer reads a few percent higher than the real speed, enter that percentage so both show the same number. Trip distance and average speed always use the real speed

SPEED LIMIT ALERT
• Set your own speed limit; it is marked on the dial
• Over the limit, the speed turns red, with a beep and vibration
• The alert repeats every 10 seconds while you stay over the limit

HUD MODE
• Black screen with big numbers, easy to read at night
• Mirror image, so you can put the phone under the windshield and read the reflection
• Green, cyan, white or yellow text

TRIPS
• Distance, moving time, average speed and top speed of the current trip
• Time stopped at lights is not counted in the average speed
• Pause the trip any time; end it to save it to your trip history
• Total distance, total moving time and top speed of all trips; export them to a CSV file

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
• Location is used only while the app is open, never in the background
• No account, no internet access, no ads; your location is never stored, only trip totals are saved on your phone
• Works on phones without Google services
• Light and dark themes, 17 languages: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Русский, Türkçe, Bahasa Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, العربية and हिन्दी

GPS speed shows your real speed. A car's own speedometer usually reads 3–8% higher by design, so the two can differ; use “Match car speedometer” in Settings to line them up. GPS needs a clear view of the sky. Always obey traffic laws and keep your eyes on the road; set up the app before you start driving.

What’s new

New “Match car speedometer” in Settings: if your car reads a few percent higher than the real speed, enter that percentage and the app shows the same number, including the speed alert. Trip distance and average speed still use the real speed. Settings also explain why a car’s speedometer reads high.
