About this app

The Shielding Tester helps quickly test shielding cases, boxes, and other Faraday Cage devices. It measures GSM/2G/3G/4G, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz and Bluetooth signal strength, showing how well the device blocks radio signals (in dBm). There are two testing modes: a detailed mode for in-depth analysis and a quick mode for fast checks. After each test, you get a report that you can save or send to the manufacturer.

A must-have tool for anyone developing Faraday Cage-based products—shielding cases, bags, anechoic chambers, and even mobile shielding structures.

Car keys can be used remotely to steal your car. Faraday bags have a metal mesh layer that blocks radio waves. But do they work? I tested 20 I'd got from Halfords & Amazon and the answer is: from Amazon only one worked. The Halfords bags failed after 6 months. Even a tiny hole, or even damage to the fibres through wear & tear allows WiFi, cellular and Bluetooth data to leak. This app (free version) allows 30 tests per month. It is the best tool to test and the results are clear. Recommended

Wi-Fi Bluetooth and cell phone testing work great but I cannot register and sign up for an account. Tried with Google and another email. Screen just froze.*update: customer service reached out and gave me a login. The spacing is finicky on the login but it's working now. Ty!

Tested a microwave and an ammo box. Wireless, Bluetooth and cell signals were tested. All showed varying amounts of shielding. This is the best app I've tried out of several with easy-to-follow graphics.
