About this app

Keep speed camera alerts visible while you use your preferred navigation app. Speed Cameras Widget places a compact warning over other apps, showing the speed limit and distance to the next camera without making you leave your route.

Set it up for the way you drive:
• Choose your country and the camera types you want to hear about.
• Adjust warning distance, direction filtering, vibration and sound.
• Show your current speed and quick actions in the floating widget.
• Receive alerts for fixed cameras, possible mobile locations, red-light cameras and community reports when data is available.

The detector can continue in the background and when the screen is locked. Android requires location, notification and display-over-other-apps permissions for these features. You stay in control of every option.

Coverage and alert types vary by country and database availability. This app is a driving aid, not a replacement for road signs or safe driving. Always follow local traffic laws and use your phone responsibly.

PERFECT! Works great for me! No idea why some are having issues, wonder if all relevant Permissions have been granted etc. I have 'Tasker' run it in the background, it has always worked as intended. Loads when I'm in the car, gives all the correct warnings with the small exception that it does not take into account direction of travel so warns of cameras on the opposite side of the road but a small price to pay. I have tried 20+ similar apps and found this to be the best out there! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It's a nice widget to have especially when you use Google Maps etc for navigation, so you can have this on top warning you about speed cameras etc. The speedometer seems to be in kmh and there doesn't seem to be an option to change it to mph. I hope that comes soon. Overall a good widget to have.

My rating is mostly for usage in Europe - the widget needs a major re-work. 1) It notifies about each speed camera in view, and in places with high desity of cameras (e.g. Geneva, Switzerland) it notifies continously, which is very annoying and useless. 2) Speed cameras database seem to be very outdated. 3) no km/h. I used the widget in Seattle as well: it was still to annoying and not quite usable. Please add at least other settings from the main app.
