Charleville-Mézières, world capital of puppetry arts, will host the 22nd edition of its World Festival of Puppet Theaters from September 16 to 24, 2023.
A unique artistic and cultural event in the world, the Festival has combined artistic excellence and a spirit of conviviality for sixty years. Every two years, the Festival welcomes 170,000 enthusiasts: artists, creators, professional and amateur puppeteers, assiduous or occasional spectators of all ages and from all walks of life.
Created by Jacques Félix in 1961 and directed since 2020 by Pierre-Yves Charlois, it ensures its territory an exceptional influence and has established itself throughout the world as the major meeting place for artists and those curious about this art.
