About this app

BirdDog is custom field forms, built for the field. Build the forms your project needs: environmental monitoring, inspections, safety, punch lists, corrective actions, site visits, and more. Capture them on site with no cell signal, and they upload on their own the moment you're back in coverage.

CAPTURE IN THE FIELD
• Build custom forms for any kind of field record, with photos, GPS, and notes
• Every photo is automatically stamped with location, compass bearing, and accuracy: the paperwork is done for you
• Works fully offline; filed records sync themselves when you reconnect
• Sub-records nest inside a record: a borehole with its soil layers, a site visit with its findings
• Drafts are safe: a half-finished record survives the app closing or the battery dying

TURN RECORDS INTO REPORTS
• Roll your records into one tidy document: a clean table on screen and a per-record PDF you can send
• Save the views you use over and over as a saved search, report, or dashboard tile
• Schedule a report to email out on its own, daily or weekly

YOUR MAP, YOUR DATA
• Built-in layers: wells, facilities, pipelines, roads, streams and lakes, land ownership, and reference grids
• Load your own map data: File Geodatabase (GDB, the most effective format), shapefiles, or KML/KMZ
• The map frames itself on the records your crew has captured, and works offline
• Filed records show up as map pins; filter the map to show only what you care about

OFFICE AND FIELD, ONE PROJECT
• The phone app for the crew in the field, the website for review and management at the office, same login
• Sort, filter, and open everything your crew has filed; a dashboard tracks status and category at a glance
• Everything hangs off the project you choose, so records, photos, and map data stay together

BirdDog shows where a record or photo was taken. It does not track where your people are.
