🛡️ END-TO-END ENCRYPTED FILE SHARING
When you choose to share a PDF, PDF Pro uses true end-to-end encryption with zero-knowledge architecture:

• AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption — military-grade symmetric cipher with built-in integrity verification
• Encryption key derived in your browser via PBKDF2-SHA-256 (100,000+ iterations) for passphrase mode, or randomly generated for fragment mode
• The encryption key never leaves your device — in fragment mode the key lives in the URL hash (#), which browsers never transmit to servers
• Only ciphertext is uploaded — PDF Pro's servers cannot read your file. No key escrow, no recovery backdoor.
• Documents signed with ECDSA P-256 (NIST-approved elliptic curve) for tamper-proof integrity verification
• Auto-expiring links (24h free / 30d Pro), burn-on-read option for sensitive transfers
• SHA-256 fingerprints embedded for cryptographic audit trails
