About this app

The Seismic Monitoring Panel is a comprehensive application that allows you to track earthquakes in Turkey and its surroundings in real time.

LIVE EARTHQUAKE MONITORING
Real-time earthquake data is retrieved from USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) and EMSC (European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre) sources. You can view earthquakes on a map with color markers according to their magnitude, as well as in a detailed list. Data is automatically updated every 60 seconds.

For each earthquake, location information, depth, magnitude, and source information are displayed by province/district. You can filter by time interval (24 hours / 7 days / 30 days) and minimum magnitude according to your needs.

STATISTICAL RISK ANALYSIS
View the statistical profile of earthquake activity in the selected region with Gutenberg-Richter b-value calculation. Examine the relative seismic activity comparison of regions such as the North Anatolian Fault Line, East Anatolian Fault Line, Aegean Graben System, and Central Anatolia.

AFTERSHOCK PROBABILITY ESTIMATION
Using the Reasenberg-Jones statistical model, also used operationally by the USGS, see the percentage probability of exceeding specific magnitude thresholds within 24 hours and 7 days after an earthquake sequence.

EARLY WARNING SIMULATION
An interactive, educational simulation showing how the velocity difference between P-waves and S-waves creates a few seconds of early warning.

IMPORTANT WARNING
This application does not predict earthquakes. There is no scientific method that can definitively predict when, where, and how strong an earthquake will be. The application provides live tracking of past earthquakes, statistical trends based on historical data, and a simulation of how early warnings can be generated seconds after an earthquake begins.

The application does not collect any personal data, requires no account, and contains no advertisements.
