About this app

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is an interactive experience and the world’s
first digital museum, located in Dublin, Ireland. It will guide you on a journey to discover the stories of Irish emigration around the world, from early times to the modern day.

At EPIC you can step through 20 themed galleries to find out why people left, see how they influenced the world they found, and experience the connection between their descendants and
Ireland today.

Our app further enhances our visitors experience as they journey through our galleries. It offers an audio guide (in English) that helps guide visitors through each gallery. It provides users with further stories and information on the characters and historical events covered in our galleries. It also allows users to stay up-to- date with all our upcoming special events and lectures.

Very sanitised version of history. No mention of the use of the building and the battle fought there by the volunteers. Sanitises events. e.g. mentions Devoy, but not the Catalpa expedition- similar lionises Shakleton, ignores Tom Crean from Anaschule, the hero of the expedition! Irish joined the British (&UK army after 1801), by dint of avoiding starvation (ref: Shamrock & Springbok; c. 1988 published Pretoria) & more.
