Ratings and reviews

The app is kind of a last thought for WLNS. The news is often out of date by at least 1-3 days, and even more so on weekends (I checked on a Friday night a few weeks ago, and the most up to date story was from Wednesday, and the app then wasn't updated the entire weekend). The live newscast is small and there is no obvious way to full screen it. Lately, WLNS has 🐝 sending push notifications to watch their live broadcast, but doesn't give any sort of teaser as to what story is trending.

Love the app, always has the latest news and weather. Really was a great place to track the election results. Too many push notifications automatically get turned on when reading an article. Dislike the amount of push notifications so I turned them off.

This used to be a very informative app. Now it's a miracle if the people at Nexstar (who own WLNS) can sync the weather info they give on WLNS with the app! You can even watch the video from the most recent forecast and see what they are saying doesn't mesh with what the app is saying. I am so tired of NOT getting the correct info I am deleting this app after I post this review. I've waited to see improvement for years, the developers don't care.

What's new

If you’re holding your device in landscape when entering an article screen, the video will no longer automatically jump into full-screen mode. If you’re holding your phone or tablet in portrait orientation when you’re on an article, then you can still quickly launch video full-screen mode by rotating it to landscape. We also fixed some minor bugs.
