When using the Android version of the mobile banking service, you will be required to provide your user ID and password, and may be granted individual access permissions for the following items with your permission:

1. Photo/Multimedia/File Permissions: Credit card application submission, loan application submission, and Mega Mobile Payment QR code scanning function.

2. Camera Permission: Used for scanning QR codes for mobile security codes, scanning QR codes for Mega Mobile Payment, and for credit card and loan application replacement functions.

3. Front Camera Permission: Used for quick login (face recognition), scanning QR codes for Mega Mobile Payment, and displaying payment codes for Mega Mobile Payment.

4. Fingerprint Recognition Permission: Used for quick login (fingerprint recognition), scanning QR codes for Mega Mobile Payment, and displaying payment codes for Mega Mobile Payment.

5. Network Connection Information Permission (Wi-Fi connection information, network connection access, network connection monitoring): Used to detect network status.

6. Notification Receiving Permission: Used to receive push notifications.

7. Shortcut Setting: Used for creating QR code/payment code shortcuts on Mega Mobile.

8. GPS Location Permission: Used for location-based push notifications.

9. Bluetooth Permission: Used to check application and device security.

10. Phone Permission: Used to verify SIM card number information during phone communication.

11. Device Security Detection Permission: Detects the device's app to confirm its security.

12. Device Recording and Screen Sharing Status Detection Permission: To maintain transaction security, the system will detect whether the device is recording screens, sharing images, or being remotely controlled.

Gives two popups, the first claiming that the bootloader is "cracked" (破解) and whether we want to continue or not (in fact, the bootloader is locked and android verified boot is working as intended, albeit with a different, more secure operating system (Graphene OS)). After that you get a message saying that the app thinks the phone is rooted or is "jailbroken", with the only button being "close". There is no root access, as that would break the android security sandbox.

This app has a lot of different functions, allowing you to do things like transfer money between your accounts, buy foreign currency, and buy investments. It's also available in English. However, the English translation is poor quality, which makes the overall experience of using it very frustrating. I keep having to refer back to the Chinese version to figure out what the English one is trying to say - NOT ideal, especially if language is a major factor in your choice of bank.

frequent updating and when out of Taiwan they expect you to turn on your Taiwan phone to receive confirmation code? why???????
