LandSentry lets you, a land enthusiast, take with you government-released land use monitoring data.
The Ministry of the Interior continuously identifies "variant points" in land use across Taiwan through satellite imagery comparison—these could be illegal development, unauthorized mining, or unauthorized land preparation or filling. This data is publicly available, but scattered across websites and difficult to track. LandSentry downloads this data to your phone, allowing you to inspect it on a map, conduct on-site visits, take photos, and continuously monitor whether each location is improving.
【Main Functions】
🗺 Map of Variation Points Across Taiwan Using the electronic map and orthophoto (aerial imagery) of the National Land Surveying and Mapping Center as the base map, red markers represent verified "violation" cases. Supports four filtering methods: county/city, year, variation type, and verification results. Nearby locations are automatically aggregated.
📋 List Browsing and Search Quickly search by variation point number, type, and responsible unit; view only violation cases with one click.
⭐ Tracking Management
Add locations requiring attention to your tracking list, managed with five statuses: Tracking, Improved, No Change, Worsening, and Closed. Each follow-up visit leaves a timeline record.
📷 Photo Recording
Take photos or add on-site photos from your album and attach them to the tracking record for easy full-screen review and comparison.
📍 GPS Positioning and Navigation
Display your location and distances to other locations on a map. One-click Google Maps navigation to the site.
🤝 Team Collaboration and Sharing
Export tracking status, records, and photos into a single file and save it to Google Drive or share it with teammates. Data is automatically merged upon import, preventing duplicate imports.
📴 Offline Use
Downloaded mutation point data is stored on your phone, allowing for recording even without internet access during mountain patrols (internet access is required for the base map).
[Data Source] Public data from the Ministry of the Interior's Land Use Monitoring and Integration Information Network (landchg.tcd.gov.tw), compiled into an open format by kiang.github.io. The base map is provided by the Land Surveying and Mapping Data Service Cloud.
[Privacy Commitment] This app has no servers and does not collect or upload any personal data. All tracking records, photos, and location information are stored only on your device; sharing is entirely up to you.
Protecting the land starts with seeing it.
