so I have found the solution to the app not connecting, there is a firmware update for the wifi module and this fixes the issue. Go into version information then module firmware there should be an update to click on. If you are not connecting use the Bluetooth or reset the wifi module to reconnect. current version 3.5 old review... app loses connection to wifi often, only option is to reset the wifi module which requires opening the box or powering down the entire system.

Wifi connection no longer works though blutooth and remotes will still activate the gates. Unable to reconnect with wifi, the controller "sees" the router via the app but constantly times out after trying to log on. Signal strength is fine, even tried using a hotspot right at the controller to no avail. Our installer replaced the wifi controller and were unable to get the new unit to connect either. We purchased the system in order to be able to control the gates remotely.

After a period of use, it can no longer connect to Wi-Fi, possibly due to a software issue as other people have recently reported.
