Twende is a Tanzanian ride, delivery and ordering service. Order a boda, bajaji or car in minutes, see the full fare before you confirm, and pay in cash or by M-Pesa.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Twende and enter where you are going.
2. Choose a boda, bajaji or car. The price appears straight away.
3. The nearest driver comes to you, and you watch them arrive on the map.
4. Pay at the end, in cash or by M-Pesa.

THE PRICE YOU SEE IS THE PRICE YOU PAY
Twende shows you the full fare before you order. Nothing changes at the end of the trip.

BOOK A RIDE AHEAD
Travelling early, or heading for the airport? Schedule your ride for the day and time you want, and a driver will be there.

ELECTRIC CARTS IN DAR ES SALAAM
Carrying goods around Kariakoo or the city centre? Twende has electric carts, known as guta. Name the pickup and the drop off, see the price before you order, and a cart comes. One cart can call at several shops on one run, and you can order one for somebody else.

SEND PARCELS
Send a parcel across town by boda or bajaji, or from one region to another by lorry. You follow your load until it arrives.

CLEAN WATER
Have clean drinking water delivered to your home, your office or a building site.

FOOD AND SHOPS
Order food from a restaurant, shopping from a shop or a market stall, cooking gas, accommodation, tradesmen and property agents. You order inside Twende and you pay inside Twende.

SAFETY
Every Twende driver is registered and their documents are verified. You can share your trip with family so they can follow where you are throughout, and there is an emergency button inside the app.

THINGS THAT MAKE IT EASIER
Save home and work so you are not typing an address every day. Message your driver inside the app. See a receipt for every trip and your whole history. Left something in the vehicle? Report it inside the app.

WALLET AND INVITES
Put money in your Twende wallet and pay without hunting for change. Invite your friends to use Twende with your code.

CITIES
Twende works in Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Dodoma, Mbeya, Morogoro and a growing list of towns. Boda and bajaji are available nationwide.
