About this app

The Paxton Key app allows system users to make use of their smartphone or smartwatch in place of electronic tokens or traditional keys with a Paxton10 system. These are called smart credentials and are completely free with Paxton10.

Please note, this app is compatible with Paxton10 V3.3 and newer only.

Utilising the built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology in Paxton10 readers, your smart device can securely communicate with the Paxton10 system to grant or deny access through any Paxton10 door.

When presented to a wall mounted reader, the Paxton Key app enables you to gain access to a Paxton10 controlled building or car park without a physical token. The 'virtual keys' can be sent to users prior to visiting a building, streamlining administration and allowing convenient access.

Paxton Key also enables the user to carry out predefined building management functionality, such as setting the intruder alarm.

Paxton Key works on Wear OS allowing you to use your smartwatch to gain entry to your access controlled doors. Includes a Wear OS complication for instant access from your watch face.

About Paxton10:

Combining next generation access control and video management on one user-friendly, online interface means you can manage the security of your site easily.

Once access control and video management has been installed you can manage who has access to your building and when, from the same software that provides video footage of what happens on site.

All doors on the system will lock automatically and will only open when an authorised access token is presented. Should a forced entry attempt be made, the surveillance cameras will capture the event and alert the system administrator.

This app directly supersedes the Paxton Key v1 app (discontinued 30th November 2022)

hands down one of the worst pieces of software ever written for a product. just works 30-40% of the time. super frustrating to not being able to enter the gym and swimming pool on any random day.

Worse app . Works 30 % of time . Candlewood apartments Springfield IL contacted Paxton key . They said it was because of summer heat. So basically no access to gym or any facilities in summer . And what happens in Southern States. Don't buy license to this product or install it in your facilities!

It doesn't work sometimes. I have to try few attempts before the door unlocks and sometimes it doesn't work at all and I have to called someone to open the door. Sometimes closing and opening the app or wait few minutes does the trick. The problem is: not everyone can wait few minutes when they are waiting you at work! Overall, I really hate the system.

Updated the app to support the Android 16, ensuring improved compatibility, performance, and security on newer devices.

Fixed an issue where the "Register" button in the smart credential email was unresponsive, requiring users to manually copy and paste the registration code.

The app version number is now displayed on the registration screen, making it easier to identify which version is installed.
