iDrumTune is the first and by far the most intelligent and accurate system for analysing drum sounds and assisting tuning – developed by drummers, music producers and acoustics research Professors.

iDrumTune provides you with a measurement of the drumhead vibration frequency; in Pitch Tuning mode, you simply hold your device over the center of a drum, about 2-4 inches away, then strike the drum in the center.

iDrumTune shows the recorded sound waveform in real time and gives the strongest frequency recorded. There is also a tuning indicator bar which shows the drumhead tuning relative to musical notes, so iDrumTune can be used to ensure that your drums are in key with each other or the song you are playing. A frequency spectrum view also allows more detailed analysis. Our updated under-the-hood algorithms optimise detection between center and edge strikes, whilst Lug Tuning mode offers the simplest and most innovative method for tuning an even frequency response at the lug positions on the drumhead.

Very good app. It appears to be accurate and certainly gives very consistent results. The lug tuner is excellent and is the only app I've found to work for this so far. The only criticism I have is that it freezes ...a lot. It mostly freezes for me when switching between modes, so not a huge issue and It is easy enough to fix by closing and re-opening the app and it's a lot cheaper than a separate drum-bot tuner. But if you find it's not recognising a drum strike, it's probably frozen

Save yourself the frustration of trying to tune your drums with a generic instrument tuner. I spent a couple of days trying other tuners before finding this one. After watching the tutorial and reading the instructions this is pretty clear cut. I'm really impressed with how this tuner catches the pitch when other apps just can't quite do it. What really puts the icing on the cake is this app isn't subscription based! Well done. Highly recommended

I have been playing for 30 plus years and really didn't think about actually tuning drums until the last few years so I have been experimenting a lot. The pitch and lug tuning are straight forward and get you 75% of the way there but the resonant tuning tool is an eye opener. I used the suggested 1.5 ratio and the drums just sing. My drums have never sounded better. Would like to see some way of saving settings or drum kits like I have seen on a few other apps.
