About this app

Temptag Pro is the on-site companion to the TempTag temporary works management platform. It puts the temporary works register, the inspection record and the permit trail in the pocket of the person standing in front of the works.

It is for the people who carry the duty on site — temporary works coordinators, temporary works supervisors, scaffold inspectors and site managers — working to BS 5975.

WHAT IT DOES

• Today — every inspection due, overdue or open action on the project you are working on, ranked so the thing that matters most is at the top of the screen.

• Register — the full temporary works register for your project. Search by reference, name or tag. Filter by status: in date, due, overdue, do not use.

• Scan a tag — hold the phone against the NFC tag fixed to the works, or scan its QR code, and the app opens that exact item. No typing a reference into a form on a scaffold.

• Inspect — work through the checklist for that item and record the result against the item, the date and you. Photographs where your organisation has enabled camera capture.

• Permits — issue and record permits to load, to strike and to dismantle at the BS 5975 hold points, against the item they apply to.

• Actions — raise a defect or an observation on the spot, with a priority and a due date, and see what is still open.

• Map — every geolocated tag on the project on one map, coloured by inspection status, so you can see what still needs walking.

• Design briefs — raise and follow a design brief from the field.

BUILT FOR SITE, NOT FOR AN OFFICE DESK

• Works offline. Your project downloads to the phone. Inspections, permits and actions captured without signal are held in a queue on the device and upload automatically the moment you get a connection back — in order, and without duplication. The app never tells you something has been recorded when it has not.

• Designed for a tablet as well as a phone, with a two-pane layout that uses the extra width rather than stretching a phone screen across it.

• Biometric unlock, so you are not typing a password with gloves on.

ONE RECORD, NOT TWO

The app is a client of your organisation's existing TempTag account. There is no separate mobile database and no second copy of the truth: what a coordinator records on site is what the office sees in the web console, immediately, with the same roles, the same project access and the same audit trail.

WHO CAN USE IT

Accounts are issued by your employer through their TempTag account. There is no self-service sign-up. If your organisation does not have TempTag yet, visit temptag.co.uk.

TempTag is a record-keeping and workflow tool. It supports the people responsible for temporary works in doing and evidencing their work; it does not replace the judgement of a competent person, a temporary works coordinator or a designer.
