About this app

TenantProof helps private renters in England keep a clear, dated, defensible record of their tenancy, so if something goes wrong you have the evidence and know the official routes to take.

Renting can throw up disputes over deposits, repairs and the condition of a property. TenantProof gives you a simple way to document everything as it happens and to organise it into a clean bundle you can share.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Record your tenancy: address, landlord/agent, deposit and which scheme it's protected in.
• Photo condition reports: capture move-in, move-out and ad-hoc reports. Each photo is time-stamped on upload, with the original capture time and (with your permission) location recorded.
• Repair log: log what you reported, to whom and when, with a timeline of updates and photos. Repairs with no progress after 14 days are flagged so you know when to chase.
• PDF evidence bundle: export a clean, dated PDF of your condition reports and repair log, suitable to attach to a deposit adjudication or a First-tier Tribunal claim.
• Template letters: England-specific starting-point letters (request a repair, chase a repair, request your deposit back, escalate to a redress scheme), pre-filled from your tenancy for you to review, edit and send yourself.
• Help and official routes: quick links to the deposit protection schemes, redress schemes, tribunals, and free, qualified help.

YOUR DATA
Your records are private to your account and protected by row-level security, so only you can read or change them. Photos are stored privately and shown to you through short-lived links. You can export all of your data, or delete it, from within the app at any time.
