9/18/25 follow up: The app allowed me to download the book 8 months later. I am not sure what changed, but I happy to have access to my book. ##Original review from 1/24/25: No downloading books for offline listening??? I bought a book a while ago and now when I try to download it for offline listening I get an error saying I've downloaded this book too many times. I am guessing I've downloaded it once per phone I've owned since I bought it. So perhaps 3 times over the years... What a bummer 😕

Twice recently it's completely lost the place in my book and started me again at the beginning - which is really frustrating! I have no idea where I was up to in my book. If this continues it makes the app unusable.

Polished software and a good range of books. Like other reviewers here, I wanted to break with Amazon. I thought this would mean less choice and an inferior app, but I'm very happy with the range of books. The player works well and browsing the catalogue is a pleasure. Deserves to be much more widely known, I will be recommending it.
