Just finished a two week trip on the Cheshire Ring using this app. It's honestly every bit as useful, if not more so, than the canal guides! Great for determining your position if you forgot to note the last bridge number, or for making sure you don't blow right past the water point you're looking for. More convenient than the books if you're buttoned up for rain. Only thing I can think of that would improve the app would be tools to measure distance (and better yet ETA) along canal routes.

Thanks. If you long tap on the map a menu will appear with a very basic way to measure distance.

Used to be very good, if a little heavy on battery usage, but recently it has got very bad. Pops up full screen ads every time you look at a feature on the map. Some of them have a close button, some do not meaning you have to kill the app to get rid of them. If there is a close button then after closing the ad you get horrendous flashing of hundreds of bits of text all layered on top of each other every time you move the map.

If you want to please email me and I'll try and figure that out. The adverts only show when you switch to another app for at least 3s. I need to make some funds to cover the cost of this project. For the rather bargain basement fee of £4.99 you can have this app free forever and not have to write angry reviews about adverts. Happy boation

Had this app for a few months and thought it was great, but it has suddenly started serving dodgy full screen ads suggesting my account has been hacked and/or my phone is corrupted, and inviting me to download malware. Apparently I can pay £4.99 for the privilege of not being scammed every time I open the app, but frankly I don't like being held to ransom, so the app is getting uninstalled immediately. I wouldn't mind a few reputable ads, but the current situation is unacceptable.

They are just Google adverts - I've no idea why some people get dodgy adverts. I added them in good faith to raise a couple of quid to pay for servers etc The adverts I've seen seen normal shit but your not the only one who has complained. Trying to figure out how to sort this. Apologies.
