About this app

Bin Day tells you which bin goes out and when.

Enter your postcode, pick your address, and see your next household bin collections straight away. Save your home, your parents' house, a rental, or any other place you look after. Set a reminder time and Bin Day will tell you before collection day which bins are due.

Bin Day supports live bin lookups for 352 of 361 UK councils, covering about 98.6% of the UK population. If your council is not supported yet, Bin Day will point you to the council's own bin pages. Council services can also have temporary issues. If a council website is down, slow, or changes its lookup, Bin Day may show the last known dates or ask you to check the council website.

What you get

- Your next bin collections by postcode and address
- Reminders before collection day
- More than one saved property
- A clear list of upcoming collections
- Council bin colours where the council publishes them
- Schedules that refresh when council data changes
- Last known dates when fresh council data is temporarily unavailable
- Free to use, with no account and no email address

How it works

1. Enter your UK postcode.
2. Pick your address.
3. See your next collection dates.
4. Save the property and choose when you want reminders.

Bin Day is built for UK household collections. It covers general waste, recycling, garden waste, food waste, paper, glass and other bins where your council publishes them. Bin names and colours can vary between councils, so Bin Day shows the labels and colours returned by the council wherever they are available.

Data sources and disclaimer

Bin Day is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GOV.UK, any UK local council, or any other public body.

Bin Day uses official postcode and council data from the Office for National Statistics and data.gov.uk to match postcodes to local authorities. Collection dates come from public UK council websites, resident bin lookup pages, calendars, PDFs, and other public council collection information.

Useful source links:

Collection data can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong if a council website has an issue or changes its published information. Check your council's own website before making decisions that depend on a collection date.

Privacy

Bin Day does not ask for your name or email address. It uses your postcode, selected address, saved properties, and reminder settings to show collections and send reminders.
