Vent-Axia Connect - Functions and settings for Lo-Carbon Svara® and Sentinel Kinetic Advance® via app.

Svara® App Control
Each Vent-Axia Svara® contains a unique code, which is required to pair the fan with the app. Enter or scan the code using the app’s setup wizard. The code may be found on the back of the product manual or on the arm of the pull out motor hub.
When the fan is supplied, it is pre-set to be an automatic bathroom fan with constant trickle flow of 30m³/h and humidity / light detectors which activate to a boost flow of up to 95m³/h.
The app control via Bluetooth gives you the functionality of five fans in one. Via this app, you can set up Svara® for various functions and environments. You can easily set Svara® to function as an intermittent fan which is humidity or light activated. Via the app you can also use a simple calendar function where you can activate various functions depending on weekdays or weekends, such as purge or silent running hours. Fault indication: A red LED on the fan indicates power failure when the calendar function has been activated. This is easily recovered by the opening the app and re-synchronising with the fan.

Sentinel Kinetic Advance® App Control
The Sentinel Kinetic Advance® WiFi controller (supplied as standard with SX model) must first linked with the app before it can be used. The new device wizard guides the user through this process, involving connecting to the product’s WiFi hot-spot, then connecting securely by scanning the QR code (or entering the security key manually), as printed on the WiFi controller.
Once connected, there is the possibility to boost the Advance for a period of 15/30/45/60 minutes, configure scheduled modes, silent hours and summer bypass operation, monitor the temperatures and heat recovered by the unit and check the status of filter-change and service count-down timers.
In commissioner mode (protected behind the same PIN as the product’s touchscreen controller), the app comes into its own by allowing the preset flows to be configured, without having to return to the installed unit. This allows flows at the diffuser to be adjusted and measured in real-time.

I try to use this for a very expensive mvhr system. At present the WiFi module is useless, the app loads and finds the system but when it shows the configuration page all details are not shown basically just showing background. I am able to click on empty areas of the screen and it selects things and changes the screen layout/background. Meaning it's the app display issue. Tried this on 3 tablets same issue, but slightly different severities. deleting and reinstalling doesn't work

Works great so far with my Svara fan. It's very nice to be able to configure the various settings, and I had no problems connecting to the fan from my phone. During the initial setup, it is possible to lock out some options from the main menu after setup - for example if you select 'no' to "do you want the fan to run continuously?" then from that point onwards it is impossible to implement a continuous trickle unless you reset the whole device. I would suggest changing this as it is unintuitive

Overall I'm happy with the app. However, there is limited functionality in the settings as another reviewer already pointed out. For example, the lowest trickle rate is 41%.If you need it lower due to not being able sleep with that sound you'd have to turn it off entirely. What I would really like to see is the ability to interact with the fan outside the app, similar to Philips hue dimmer switch, etc. Your guests will not have access to your app on their devices but may require boost function!
