With the Forestlink System App, trucking and logging operators can manage daily operations while supporting driver safety, task visibility, and compliance in remote forest environments.
Foreground services are used only when drivers are actively performing work-related tasks, such as driving, navigating forest routes, or completing assigned jobs.
During an active driving or task session, the app runs a foreground service with a persistent notification to:
Continuously track the driver’s trip and task status in real time
Support forest navigation and route awareness while the vehicle is in motion
Record operational activity required for safety, compliance, and reporting
Ensure critical task updates remain active even when the app is not in the foreground
The foreground service starts only after user interaction (for example, when a driver starts a task or navigation session) and stops automatically when the task ends. Drivers are always informed through a visible notification and can stop the service at any time.
