About this app

PicPak is a companion app for the PicPak Bluetooth photo display device, helping you connect the device, process photos, upload content, manage the device, and update firmware directly from your phone. We aim to simplify the complex process of transferring and managing content: turn on the device, connect via Bluetooth, select photos, adjust the display, and send to the device—making the entire process as clear, stable, and controllable as possible. What PicPak Can Do for You 1. Connect to and manage your PicPak device, including basic viewing information such as the device name, status, and firmware version. 2. Select images from your phone; the app automatically adapts them to the device’s screen and supports manual cropping, rotation, and resizing. 3. Upload images to the device and sync the image content on the device after connecting. 4. Check for and perform firmware updates when needed, helping the device enjoy a more stable experience with the latest version. Ratings and reviews

The app and device work. The photos on the device vary on quality. It takes 10 seconds for the next image to load. Limited utility for being a photo album you can flip through. It would take a full minute to look at 6 images. It would be good to know the characteristics of an image that would work best. size, resolution, number of colors, etc. Fun toy. Okay to display a photo on a shelf.

Advertised that it can hold 700 photos, but it's only 500. Not like I can even get it to work anyway. It froze after I added 3 photos and won't let me add any more, and the 3 photos don't even change on the device. it's locked at one photo and doesn't change. The photo quality is terrible, worse than an old flip phone and photos are dark and low resolution. There are better e ink displays out there. Great idea but I definitely got scammed.

App works... okay. But it's very basic. I can connect with PicPak frame, add pictures, update firmware, that's about it. I wish I could manually crop pictures when importing. The app imports my pictures and auto-crops to fit the frame aspect ratio. I can crop pictures on my phone before attempting to add them, but it's a pain. Also, it only gets pictures from my Google drive, not phone local storage. And not all the pictures were available to add. I'm not sure why some pictures didn't show up
