Ratings and reviews

I don't seem to have encountered any of the problems others seem to be having but I do only run it on my phone data. I found the app easy to operate, uncluttered and as accurate as any other gps app I've tried. Some people that are complaining about the screen going off, try going into settings and switch sleep mode off and turn your phone display to full brightness when using the app. If you want something to record every round and give you loads of data maybe this app isn't for you.

It's a little hit and miss. A bit fiddly getting it paired. But when it connects its accurate enough to reliably use. Just don't keep your phone in your pocket and walk away from the trolley :) The problem I experience is how long it takes to update and display the correct yardages. I find myself glancing at the 100 and 150 yard markers too often to check if the yardage on the trolley looks 'right'. Using the app on its own (without connecting) is simple, easy and accurate to use. 5 stars there.

I have tested a number of apps and I have found that Motocaddy to be the best (and no I do not work for Motocaddy). The layout of the courses are good and the colours make it clear and easy to see. You can move the distance locator easily to see distance to trees/bunkers etc. The yardage is accurate and easy to see. The shot distance being blue is sometimes hard to see in bright sunshine. The scoring page is simple to use as is the score card. My one criticism is that you can not save your score card, once you end the round you have lost your input! Fix this and I would give it 6/5 :)
