About this game

Skat, played like a modern video game. You alone against two opponents with minds of their own, or at a table with your friends. Truly free, with no ads and no signup.

Truly free
Play as much as you want, whenever you want. No ad breaks, no round limits, no locked features, no coins to buy. What you're looking at is the whole game, and the free version is the only version. Your data isn't for sale either: nothing about you is sold or handed to anyone. You're a guest, not a product.

One honest opponent
Two opponents sit across from you. Behind both is the same mind: Lothar. There are no difficulty levels. Lothar plays every hand at full strength, whether you've just learned the bidding or have been at the table for years. Ask for a hint while bidding or mid-trick and you don't get a separate coach; you get Lothar's own judgment, the exact call he would make in your seat. An opponent who never holds back is one you can learn to beat.

At the table with friends
Open a table for your friends. If there are just two of you and you feel like a round, Lothar takes the third seat and plays along. Sit down at the same time and you play live, card by card, like at the kitchen table. But you don't have to. There's no scheduling and no appointment: you play your card now, your friend answers tonight or on Sunday, and the table is exactly where you left it, even mid-hand. Several tables at once are no problem, each with its own running score.

Learn right at the table
Skat is one of the deepest card games ever devised. You learn the rules in fifteen minutes and keep discovering new tricks a hundred rounds in. Turn on hints and Lothar marks what he would play in your seat, reasoning included, right at the moment you need it. Many of those reasons lead straight to the matching strategy section, mid-hand: you learn the idea behind the decision, not just the card. And when you want more, the rules, strategy, and glossary pages explain everything from the start.

Your games, your numbers
Every round tells its story: at the end, you see the result and the statistics at a glance. Nothing is lost, every round you play stays saved, and your statistics grow with it.

See where you stand
Every solo round against Lothar lands on the leaderboard: who's ahead this week, who this month, who over a whole career? A newcomer can top the weekly board inside their first week. When a month closes, its best players move into the Hall of Fame, for everyone to see.

Play the way you like
Portrait or landscape, with hints or without, Skat or Ramsch. Turn-based, at your pace: a round takes a few minutes, good for a quick break, and on long evenings it rarely stops at one. You can stop any time; the game remembers everything and picks up right there. 32 cards, three players, every deal a new puzzle: sometimes you fight alone against two, sometimes you defend as a team. Cards with motion, light, and attention to detail, inspired by the feel of modern games, not by dusty card tables.

Skat has hooked players for 200 years. This one's just prettier. Have fun!
