For context I have been using virtual desktop for years on my Quest 2 and on Quest 3 and has been my go to PCVR streaming app. Unfortunately, on the GXR version there are some serious tracking issues that are definitely not typical with virtual desktop and something i've never experienced before. To be fair, the tracking on the GXR isn't the best, but these issues become worse once I load into virtual desktop. Hovering two feet off the floor with no controllers. Gets worse every day.

Hi, this issue should now be fixed in the latest version of the app. Google isn’t fixing the underlying issue so I implemented a workaround. Enjoy!

This needs face calibration to run at least once (Android settings > Avatars > Face tracking > Start calibration) for tracking data to fully work. I was confused why only eye tracking was working, maybe the app can add a reminder to do that when enabling tracking data? No problems after that, though!

The quintessential gold standard for all modern VR usage. I have been into VR for 10+ years. I work as media production/talent in adult entertainment and technical training material (aviation). I have 6+ headsets, including Samsung Gear VR, Oculus, Pico 4, Quest 3, PIMAX, and Galaxy XR. Virtual Desktop was, is and will continue to be the standard by which all other VR softwares are judged. Absolutely essential. Versatile, creative, wild, and downright fun, It changed the course of my life.
