About this app

Plan your money before you spend it. Envelope Budget puts the classic cash-envelope method on your phone: split your income into envelopes such as Rent, Groceries and Fun, spend from them, and always know what is left in each one. It is zero-based budgeting without the spreadsheet.

It works offline, with no sign-up and no bank link. You enter what comes in and what goes out, and your budget stays on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
• Left to assign: one number on the home screen shows this month's income plus last month's unassigned money, minus what you have already put into envelopes. Bring it to zero and your whole income has a plan.
• Envelope grid, grouped by category: each envelope shows what is left in large type and a bar that drains as you spend. An overspent envelope is labelled "Over", not just coloured red.
• Tap an envelope to assign more, move money to another envelope, spend from it, or see its history for the month.
• Rollover: carry leftover money or overspending into next month, switched on or off for each envelope.
• Alerts when an envelope is running low or goes over.
• Start a new month by copying last month's amounts or by using your 3-month average.
• Switch months from the title bar. The Transactions tab and reports show where the money went.

YOUR DATA
Envelopes, accounts and transactions are saved on your phone and are not synced to any server. There is no account to create. Back up to a file you control, then restore it on a new phone when you switch.
Anonymous usage and crash statistics are sent through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, and you can turn them off in Settings. Google Play handles purchases. Unless you have Pro, the app shows ads from Unity Ads: a banner above the tab bar and, now and then, a full-screen video when you open a free tool from the More tab (at most one every few minutes). Optional reward videos earn credits and play only when you tap to watch. Unity Ads may use your device's advertising ID. Pro removes all ads. Messages you send from Contact us in Settings go to FightTech with basic device details so we can reply.
